Tom Morello Opens Up About RATM's Future

Tom Morello has compared Rage Against The Machine to “Lord Of The Rings.” The guitarist was recently pressed to give an update on whether the long-delayed band will return to touring anytime soon, and Morello’s answer was… epic.

"Rage Against The Machine is like the ring in 'Lord Of The Rings'. It drives men mad,” said the rocker. “They want it. They want the thing, and they're driven mad.” And in order to calm fans, Morello assured the rock world that when there is news about the band, they won’t keep it a secret.

RATM has been on an extended hiatus after lead singer Zack De La Rocha tore the Achilles tendon in his left leg. The band was forced to cancel last year’s tour of North America. While Morello says he “understand(s) and respect(s) the frustration,” he says fans should expect an eventual “collective statement from the band” when it’s time.

Slipknot Stops Australia Show Due To Fan Behavior

Slipknot’s love affair with Australia continues… but not as safe as organizers want. The Corey Taylor-led rock band was forced to pause not one but two sets during recent performances Down Under due to fan behavior.

“Hi Knotfest, we’ve stopped the show because there are people up in the air,” came a voice over the PA as the band stopped playing. “Anybody up in a tower needs to get down, or the show will not commence until you’re down.” Fans climbed nearby speaker towers at both shows for “better view(s).”

In response, Taylor showered the fans with love. “I can’t take you crazy mother***ers anywhere, man,” shouted the rocker before admitting he “can’t stay mad at you.” Taylor admitted Australia is “by far” one of the band’s “favorite countries in the world” before continuing the show.

Owen Wilson Had His Lifetime Rolling Stones Concert Pass Revoked

Owen Wilson once had a LIFETIME Rolling Stones concert pass . . . for only 24 hours.

During an appearance on "The Late Late Show" Tuesday night, Owen explained what happened.  He was at a show in Argentina with a friend who was close to Mick Jagger when they got the passes.

Owen wandered backstage and accidentally ended up on the stage during "Jumpin' Jack Flash."  Then he got yelled at by workers to get OFF.

The following day he got a call from Mick's security team asking for the pass back.  Owen said, quote, "I was also dressed in a white T-shirt and white pants, and if you are at this part of the stage . . . where you're not supposed to be . . .

"You should be in like dark colors where you blend in.  So I get it, you know?  He's got a show to do.  He doesn't need some kind of bozo, just cruising around distracting him."
