Incubus' Kenney Reveals Brain Tumor Fight
Incubus bassist Ben Kenney has revealed the reason for her previously-announced break from the tour. The “Drive” band recently cited “a medical procedure” for Kenney’s absence. On Wednesday, the rocker took to his own Instagram to share the news that his doctors discovered a brain tumor.
“Unfortunately, last year I found out I had a brain tumor,” wrote Kenney. “As soon as I got home from tour, I had a successful operation to remove it. This year I am taking some time away from touring & social media to recover.” Kenney then announced that Australian musician Tal Wilkenfeld would fill in for Kenney during his absence.
On her social media, Wilkenfeld confirmed the news and included five dates and cities she was confirmed to play, including Costa Rica, San Antonio, and New Orleans.

Austrian Festival Is the Latest To Drop Pantera
Pantera continues to have to face the music. Recently we told you that two German festivals dropped and then replaced the recently reformed band from their lineups. The move seems contagious, as Austria has joined the fray.
Organizers at Pantera’s scheduled concert in Vienna’s Gasometer on May 31st have canceled the event entirely. No specific explanation was given beyond “Pantera concert on the 31st May 2023 at the Vienna Gasometer will be canceled. All tickets can be returned where they were purchased. Thank you for your understanding."
Reports have linked the German- and potentially Austrian- eliminations of Pantera to a Nazi gesture Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo made during a 2016 show, followed by a phrase popular with white supremacists. Pantera has not canceled any dates or made any statements as of this writing.

Coldplay is To Perform On "SNL" Next Week.
"SNL" has topped itself week to week in its 48th season, musically speaking. Sam Smith, Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, and SZA have already taken the stage at 30 Rock over the last several weeks, and "SNL" shows no sign of slowing down.
Just announced for February 4: Coldplay will perform as Pedro Pascal hosts.
This will be the first time in over three years that the band has done "SNL," and it comes days after Coldplay announced a short four-city run in September in North America, which will come at the tail end of a brief world tour that kicks off in Brazil in March.
