Former Child Actor Adam Rich from "Eight Is Enough" Died Saturday.

On Saturday, former child actor Adam Rich was found dead in his Los Angeles home. He was 54 years old. Adam played Nicholas Bradford in the family drama "Eight Is Enough" from 1977 to 1981.

The cause of death hasn't been revealed, but Adam spent years battling addiction and mental illness and had several brushes with the law.

 

He mostly retreated from the spotlight in the 1980s. One of his last gigs was playing himself in the 2003 comedy "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star."

 

 

His rep issued a statement calling Adam, quote, "a wonderful guy" and a "warrior in the fight against mental illness."

 

 

He added, quote, "He really was America's little brother."
